P.J. was one of my instructors in Pilot training at Craig AFB, Selma, Alabama in 1965. I flew a combat mission with him in the 12th Tactical Recon Squadron from Tan Son Nhut AB Vietnam in 1967. He was a great pilot. P.J. was my instructor during upgrade training for the F-111A at Nellis AFB, Nevada in 1973. We were hit by lightning on a clear day returning to base. He was cool and the first I realized there was something wrong was when I heard his declaration of emergency with our call sign and two souls on board. P.J.was a true professional, and I wish the best for his family and friends. Larry Choplin, USAF Major retired.

My condolences to the family. May you find comfort in the scripture at Revelation 21:4 and the website jw. org.
